Lost Judgment allows you to walk adorable dogs and do crazy skateboarding tricks in Yokohama. But Strichart is keen for people to realize that the fundamental story of the game’s gameplay is not outrageous. In a tweet posted on Thursday, Strichart warns potential buyers that Lost Judgment “deals with various traumas” and urges them to research on the game prior to buying.

Strichart declares that Lost Judgment is “not pulling any punches with its themes” and urges viewers to take care of themselves prior to diving into the next Yagami case.

Yakuza fans who have been around for some time will be aware of the distinct tone between the main series and optional content. But, Lost Judgment might be more serious. It’s not clear what the nature of the story of Lost Judgementas such, and so we don’t have much about it. However, trailers from the pre-release and gameplay demos show that bullying could be a trigger, especially with teenagers in high school.

We’re not sure what other issues could be added to Lost Judgment. It’s important to note that the Judgment first game was extremely heavy in comparison to the rest Ryu Ga Gotoku’s games. Judgment was a deep dive into protagonist Takayuki Yagami’s story, telling how his parents were murdered by someone who then commits suicide. Lost Judgment could also cover similar issues.

Whatever the reason, it is important to take Strichart’s advice. If you are sensitive about certain heavy topicsthen it might be worth keeping an eye out for further information. We’ll never know for sure what it is that Strichart refers to until we’ve had the game at our disposal. It’s better to be safe than sorry in situations like this.

If you’re looking to purchase Lost Judgment day one, the game is set to release on September 24 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
